Your Care

What this looks like in practice.

Concierge primary care in Santa Barbara means a physician who is reachable for urgent concerns, present through hospital stays, and engaged in the slow, unglamorous work of managing chronic conditions and preventive health before anything goes wrong.

What this looks like in practice.

When Something Is Urgent

Something is wrong, and you need to be seen.
  • You wake up feeling short of breath
  • You have a rash that won’t go away
  • You rolled you ankle and it still hurts

You call Dr. Pande directly. If it can be resolved by phone, it will be. If you need to come in, you’ll be seen today. If it’s something that requires the emergency department, he’ll tell you that too, and he’ll call ahead.

You’re having a procedure or
going to the hospital.

Most primary care stops at the hospital door. Dr. Pande spent years as a hospitalist, so he understands inpatient systems, handoffs, and the questions to ask your surgical or hospitalist team.

He helps coordinate before, during, and after a hospital stay, including your transition home. Follow-up care is crucial to preventing re-hospitalization, and Dr. Pande works to keep you supported and on the right track.

Nobody is looking at the whole picture.

You’re having a procedure or
going to the hospital.

Each one manages their piece, their recommendations conflict, and nobody has asked how you’re actually doing. Dr. Pande is the person who calls each of them, reconciles what they’re telling you, and builds a plan that accounts for everything, including what matters to you beyond the diagnoses.

You’re managing a condition that isn’t going away.

Diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease, menopause, and an autoimmune condition.

Chronic disease management like this requires a physician who remembers your last conversation, notices trends before they become crises, and is reachable when something changes. The concierge model exists for this kind of care.

You’re on five medications, and the list hasn’t been reviewed in years.

Each medication was prescribed for a reason, often by a different doctor at a different time.

Some may interact. Some may no longer be necessary. Dr. Pande reviews the full picture: what you’re taking, why it was started, whether the original rationale still holds, whether the evidence has shifted, and whether your goals or health have changed. It is careful work, and it requires time.

Before Anything Goes Wrong

Your annual physical has been a formality for years.

Fifteen minutes, a checklist, a lab order. That isn’t a physical.

Dr. Pande’s annual evaluation is an extended conversation about your health, your risks, your family history, your goals, and what the evidence actually supports for someone in your specific situation. It’s tailored, not templated, and it changes from year to year as your life does.

You’re healthy, and want to stay that way.

No diagnosis, nothing wrong, but you’re at an age where screening, sleep, exercise, and prevention start to matter more.

Dr. Pande looks at your specific risk profile, not a generic checklist. The goal is not to find problems that do not exist, but to catch what may be brewing before it surfaces. Once medical issues are optimized, he can focus on prevention and, if you choose, health optimization, including supplements, infusions, and lifestyle medicine with a clear review of the risks, benefits, evidence, and whether they truly fit your situation.

You’ve gotten news you don’t know what to do with.

A specialist tells you that you need surgery. A screening comes back abnormal. You read your lab results in the portal and don’t know what the numbers mean.

You want someone who will sit with you, explain what the evidence actually says, lay out what the options are, tell you what he would do if it were his family, and then let you decide. Dr. Pande does not rush these conversations. They are the reason this practice exists
